02 Ford F350 Crew cab passenger side door locks get tired.

The passenger side locks don't fully function either direction buy using the door mounted button or key fob. The key works great. But if I park my truck and lock the doors that side doesn't allways lock. (I have been told these are electric but I don't know if thats right because the problem is less when I do some driving. I'm wondering if this is a vacuum system?

There are no locks that are operated by vacuum. Whoever told you that the locks are operated electrically was correct. When you are driving the alternator is spinning allowing for more electricity to flo through the vehicle. this could allow more to flow to the lock cylinders.

It's on the side of the transmission. drivers side. Once you get under the truck you will see the shift cable going to the transmission. the range sensor is mounted on the transmission under the cable arm. easy to replace.

Door adjustment for a 96 f350 dropped about 1/2"

Here's the solution: You might want to park it under a tree and tie a rope to the door to pull it up when loosened.
ADJUSTMENT Fig. 1: Door hinge adjustment 84920001.gif
Fig. 2: Rear door hinge adjustment, F-350 Crew Cab 84920002.gif
NOTE: Loosen the hinge-to-door bolts for lateral adjustment only. Loosen the hinge-to-body bolts for both lateral and vertical adjustment.
  1. Determine which hinge bolts are to be loosened and back them out just enough to allow movement.
  2. To move the door safely, use a padded prybar. When the door is in the proper position, tighten the bolts to 19–25 ft. lbs. (25.5–34.5 Nm) and check the door operation. There should be no binding or interference when the door is closed and opened.
  3. Door closing adjustment can also be affected by the position of the lock striker plate. Loosen the striker plate bolts and move the striker plate just enough to permit proper closing and locking of the door.

Ford F350 Crew Cab Power Window Problem

Did you check for power at the switches. Are you sure the fuses are ok. Sometimes the wires break because of opening the door. You will have to inspect the harness and maybe have to remove the door panel. Most likely its a driver door wiring issue or the fuse.

How to replace actuator on F350 V0

My right sliding door's lock doesn't function either. I took off the door panel and found that the lock mechanism was broken. Normally I would think this strange, as the lock mech is metal. But since this is a Plymouth product, I some how think it should be normal for something to break off without it ever getting a direct hit. I can only assume that my kids closing the door too hard might have had something to do with this. Anyway, the whole lock mech needs to be replaced, and I haven't even tried to see how much that will cost me. This Van has cost twice in repairs than what I paid new for it. (just kidding, but it sure feels like it). If you have an answer to this query
