Grease the Ball Joints, three per side (upper control arm, lower control arm, steering tie rod. if there aren't any grease zerks, its time to replace your ball joints. You can do this yourself with the parts from AutoZone or O'Reilly or Napa. I suggest you rent the ball joint tool as it will make your work a lot easier.

SOURCE: 2001 4 x 4 tacoma front wheel fell off. Looks

The drive shaft is inserted into a splined hub. The hub has a bearing that is pressed in, and that may have been the cause.
Very rare. Was there any grinding noise before it fell off ?

My 2003 3500 Dodge Cummins diesel Turbo has a squeak in the front tire area that is only squeaky when I turn the wheel left or right very high-pitched squeak like rubber contact I hit a hole and now I have...

It's more than likely the ujoint in the front by the knuckle...You can jack your truck up and turn the wheel to the side it is squeaking the most. Turn the tire by hand and see what it feels like.If your u joint is bad it will bind when you spin your tire.

I have a 2006 Tacoma. When driving and turning

Check your suspension in the front for worn or damaged parts to include upper A frame retaining bolts, especially if you've been four wheeling. This is most likely a ball joint or Tie rod or connecting rod issue. The only other location to look would be the CV joint. In most cases you would hear a clicking sound when your are turning and driving, if it have front or 4 wheel drive.

My front end on my 2001 s-type is squeaking like crazy but everything is tight on the drivers side front wheel.

Squeaking may be caused by bushings being dry..when that rubber gets dry, it has a nasty loud sound...the front end will appear tight, because nothing is loose..you can try and spray some WD-40 on your lower control arm bushings, and see if that helps...Goodluck

2005 Toyota Tacoma

Without looking at it, you may have one or more of the following:

Rust on the inside edge of the rotor (most common)

Worn front brake pads

Front wheel bearing problem.

Backing plate (behind rotor) rubbing the rotor

These are the most common causes, you can see 1,2 & 4 with the wheel off.

Hope this helps.
