Almost always it's the crank sensor on a 3.8.They fail so often,I recommend changing the crank sensor at every tune up.
Otherwise the 3.8 is a great engine.
Is yourd check engine light on? If it is, I would have the codes read first thing. If not, it could be clogged fuel filter or air filter, loose vacuum hose, or bad throttle position sensor or other sensor but the sensors or any electrical problem will set off check engine light.
change intake gaskets you will find it blown thats why your problem happens when your engine is warm the alum. intake warms up and expands opening the blown gasket
