2001 Oldsmobile Alero will not start. The car turns over but just will not start. Plugs are 4 mths old, tank is full of gas battery and alternator are working. Anybody out there know of anything we could try?

if you just filled it you probably stirred up rust or dirt from the bottom of tank and it is plugging filter ...preventing starting. Take the gas cap off to release pressure in tank. Bounce the car once or twice to help the junk fall off filter in tank. Let set for 1/2 an hour and then retry starting. Had a Chevy celebrity that did this regularly until I pulled the filter and drained the tank.

suspect break down of electric modlue in the ignition system, or plugs not getting fuel or electricy,,,test the plugs for fireing and presence of fuel

relay switch for your starter(ignition)

ignition coil pack it intermitten.

also check the crank sensor and the main crank pulley, this is where the engine gets its firing orders from

check plugs cap coil air filter too.

is it a diesel pump, they have different nozzles

You need to replace the Starter and Solinoid. The Solinoid comes on the New Starter. The Solinoid shorted out when the Battery Died and Damaged the Starter.
