Serpentine belt fell off while driving, but before that happened, I assume, car was difficult to accelerate. Felt like thermostat wasn't opening properly, car would rocket after not moving for a bit. Inside engine compartment is wet, looks like coolant. I need diagram to get serpentine belt back on to get car to shop. 2007 ford focus SE 2.0 liter engine.

Hi kevin sounds like a frozen idler pully. you should have a diagram under the hood or on the crossmember in front of the radiator.

    Thanks Ron, diagram is in owners manual, but i cant move any pulleys so i have no clue which one is tensioner pulley, trying to figure that out, however its all a tight fit and i need to find some thin "helpers" to get it done and all

Make sure belt is tight and no oil or grease on pulleys. If that fails check each pulley to make sure it is turning freely especially the AC.

There is an EXCELLENT diagram of the serpentine belt routing for your truck, right on the FAN SHROUD.
If it has been removed or fell off, you will need to know which engine you have, and a Google search will yield the appropriate belt routing.

I have a 2002 ford taurus and my serpentine belt keep breaking; afterwards I notice some smoke coming from that area and my serpentine belt felt hot to touch, can someone please explain to me why that...
something that the belt is driving is failing and putting extra load on the belt and it is slipping as it tries to drive that item. It may also be not tensioned properly. Remove the belt and turn each item by hand and they should all turn freely. The ac compressor will need the clutch to be activated but you will still be able to turn it by hand. Replace any that are stiff to turn

Serpentine belt fell off
Belt falling off,, It is most likely a belt tencher, or a pulley,, Turn pulley's by hand felling for any wobbling or play side to side especially watter pump ,if fault is found replace part and reinstall belt,!if you cant find fault,Reinstall belt,then pull on belt to see if it belt has tension and returns with no sticking of tension-er then,if all look well .start car and observe ,may have been a glitch or bad belt best wish

Maybe it's the serpentine belt
there not hard to change if you have a general idea how it works.
there should be a diagram of how the belt is ran.you could follow that but i would suggest going to a friend or a shop that has experiance.you have to remove the motor mount I believe.its a tight fit.
