My brake light keeps coming on whilst driving, and now my car will not start even with attempting to jump start it

Jump starting your car is not going to fix it cause its more likely to be a wire problem.star at your brake light and see if your connections are tight and then go from there..sounds like a short for sure...

Driving car just shutoff want start again

Check to see if it is flooded, When you attempt to start the car put your foot on the accelerator and put it to the floor, keep it to the floor whilst trying to start the car yet dont pump the accelerator just keep it flat to the floor.

If it turns over the starter motor is fine,

Fuel Filter and pump is fine,

You got a spark so the electrics will be fine,

Just need to limit the problem down to whats happening under the head.

Engine shut off and overheated while driving

since the engine is overheated and died whilst in motion, surely you have either blown head gasket or a cracked cylinder head and pistons marked the liners, In other words the engine might need recondition.

Occasionally when attempting to start engine it attempts to turn over, it almost sounds like engine locked up or engine spark timing way over advanced or starter motor "poling"

It sounds like you could have one of several problems. It could be the starter motor dragging but that shuold be more consistent. A come and go problem usually is a connection issue. The solenoid could have worn or loose contacts, battery connections making but not very well, starter wiring loose or poor connections, things like that. It could even be a ground connection not getting good contact. I hope this helps.

Ran out of gas in my 1994 jeep cherokee, put in 2gals and can't get it to start now. Cycled the engine several times and attempted to start again and still nothing. Not sure where to go from here

did you run out of gas or did the pump fail ?? have you bled it off on the fuel rail ,look on the fuel feed to the injectors and there is a tyre valve looking thing ,take the dust cap off and then push it in with a something whilst someone cranks engine and see if you have fuel coming through

Often the starter will not turn over (not even a click) to start.

Have someone try to start the car whilst you attempt to move the battery and cables. If you are able to have full power and then nothing and then full again, it could be your battery cables. Replace your positive and negative battery cables. While you have the car's batter out, have it checked to see if it needs replacing too. You wouldn't think a moving part would go bad but sometimes they get corroded or start shorting out. Good Luck.
