I turn the lights on, low beams turn on then driver side flickers and shuts off, passenger side stays on till I press the break, then it shuts off, high beams and day lights stay on.
Never heard of this before thats for sure i have read the question 3 times and i cannot think of anything likely to cause this --??.-- unless the control switch is faulty but why does one stay on till the brake is pressed ,would need a wiring diagram to see if their is a relay for each side of the dipped beam if and when you sort it out please post a reply as this has me intrigued
SOURCE: high-low beams not working
Check for headlight relay and fuse. Some cars have separate circuits for head light flasher and normal high/low beam. From your description, I would suspect a bad connection to/from relay or relay itself.
SOURCE: my passenger side low beam headlight is out. the
Check the fuse. There are seperate fuses for right and left. You dont mention if the high beam works for that side? If it does, the fuse is good. The GREEN wire at the bulb is the ground for the low beam. If that wire has power, then the ground is bad. If the high beam works, the hi'lo beam switch is good, and there is a problem between that headlight and the Engine Compartment Junction Block
SOURCE: no low beams bulbs are ok fuses look good
There may be a relay that operates the low beam lights, check the owners manual to see if there is a relay, you should be able to hear it go "click" if there is one.
