Where does the knock sensor on 03 XL7 connect to wiring harness

Hello. The knock sensor is a single wire device fastened to the side of the engine. It looks like a 'plug' with a single 'tab' protruding out of it. A single terminal wire slides onto that 'tab'. That single wire is nearby; somewhere on either side of the engine block where the knock sensor is at. Good luck and keep me informed; if you want to.

Knocking sounds as if coming from nearside front suspension .suspension has been changed no different ?

I would have your cv axles inspected. When these are going out it will make a clunking/knocking sound as well.

Single knock sound from dead stop or when slowing down

I had the same problem on a brand new 2008 JEEP Patriot. The solution after 2 trips to the dealer was to tighten all the suspension bolts in the front. Note wether your problem is in the front or rear and go to the dealer.
