Car wont start but engine will turn over. its a 2004 acura rl 3.5, what are some common starting problems
First question is are you using the chip enabbed immobilizer key in ignition? Easy to tell ...while trying to start GREEN IMMOBILIZER Key light in dash should come on then should go out if correct key is used.if it continues to flash whill cranking then incorrect key or problem in immobilizer system
Check for spark

more than likely a bad crank sensor but not knowing if there are codes might also be a cam sensor,it is deffently a electrical componet problem hot soak of the motor will break down bad electrical sensors,

SOURCE: cooling fan for acura tl 2000 does not work
If you can locate the temperature switch, looks like a large bolt head with 2 wires on it, bridge the wires on it, and this should make the fan work. If the fan works then this switch is faulty. If the fan doesn't then it could be the fuse, or a broken wire.
The fan switch is either on the radiator or on the thermostat housing.
If you can get to it easy, short across with a screwdriver.

is there power at the coil's electrical connector(key must be set to ON? Is some of your warning lights not lit(that normally light-up when key is on) such as airbag, abs, engine, battery etc??? If you answer yes to any of this, your ignition switch has failed. Acura/Honda models 97-02 have a recall on this in 2002 approx 1.5million vehicles affected. Symtoms include, intermitted speedometer/tach fluctuating to zero while car is in motion, intermitted stalling or no start(symtoms increase in hotter weather). The electrical contacts on these ignition switches are faulty causing shorts and archs within. Therefore power supply to vital engine electrical components are cut off. If this is the case, call your local Acura/Honda dealer with your vin# at hand, your vehicle may qualify for a free repair. Hopefully this helps....please rate thanks!!

The SRS computer needs to be reset, if you dont have a repair manual i would first suggest finding one for each car. The basic principal is that you jumper the diagnostic plug (under the glove box in the RL). The next step I believe is that you must depress the TCS button, then while holding it down you turn the key to on, continue to hold the TCS button for 15 sec and then let off. The check engine light should then blink really quick a few times and that means its reset. Im reciting this from memory so dont quote me on it. I have done it before for the RL but not the integra, id really suggest finding a repair manual though.
