My wife has a 97 town and country. For about 2 weeks the instrument panel was going out then coming back on. A couple days ago it got bad. The van would start and run only several seconds then the engine would shut down. I took the Instrument panel out and it started and stayed running. I pulled the PC board found the bad Soder connections and resodered them. Problem was gone and the P1698 code erased. Best thing is it did not cost me anything and the van is fixed !
the 55 problem code is no more codes stored, or end of cycle. code 43 is problem in power module to logic module interface. code 12 is battery or computer recently disconnected. have a good day !!
If it doesn't cool at all there is a fault in the system preventing it from cooling down properly and building pressure like it should. You will need to have this checked by a service tech.
I have a 97 Chrysler Town & Country Van with 104000 miles on it. The past two months the van will not start and run after driving for a while. Let it set for about an hour and it will start and run fine. When it does not want to run it will start and run for about 5 seconds then quit. During this time the dash instruments will not display but the radio, windows, and lights work just fine. The battery was replaced with in the past month so I don' t think that is the problem. Any seggestions?
