After the lights kept going off on my dash,i took my car for a diagnostic test where they told me I would need a new fuse box, since having my car back, it now has no indicators,lights, centrallocking and wont even start, and the garage have told me its all down to the failing fuse box, can this be true
SOURCE: put in a new battery,
Base on the information you posted,a failing alternator and/or belt + belt tensioner are the source of the problem.
If you has a volt meter then check on voltage of the battery terminal while the car is running.
It should be 13.6V to 14.6V
============
Check the wear indicator on the belt tensioner for aged tensioner.
Check belt for crack

If everything looks good then call AAA or a friend for a jump (I KNOW YOU CAN START THE CAR) but I need to rule out the electrical problem with the extra power from a boost.
Test all lights and power windows while the jumper cable is still attached from the other car,
Start the car and place foot on brake to see is can you shift out of park.
Put it back to park after test.
Please post the result on the commend window and I will follow up on it.
SOURCE: We need to replace the 120 amp alternator fuse but
the fuses blot in from the side you have to take the fuse box cover off first then you will see how it works
