Nissan Frontier 2000
I went on vacation for a week and when I got back the AC had stopped blowing cold air. I hear the compressor make it's usual sound. I check the freon pressure at 45 and there is an airy/windy kind of squeaky sound that sounds closer to the vents than the engine.
Check the thermo control amp, it is a sensor that keeps the evaporator from freezing. I had that problem on my 2000, it's a common nissan problem, google nissan ac problems.
You are going to have to put tracer dye in the system and check for leaks
if no leaks then might be low on freon and or there is a resistance in one of the lines
