I need to change the turn signal assembly on a 1989 jeep wrangler

What is the easiest way to do this, it has tilt steering and has the wiper controls, as well as the high / low beam switch all in one

Tried this today in attempt to replace my signal arm (the second one to break of in a year!), but failed to free up the ignition rod due to dwindling daylight. Takes about 30 minutes to free up the assembly if you're being careful. You will need to buy a lock plate compressor (about $15 from Advance) and I'd definitely recommend the Haynes Manual if you're not familiar with the insanity of the YJ's steering assembly.

2010 Wrangler. My front marker/turn signals don't work. However, they do work with the fourways on. I've changed the bulbs and the multi-function switch on the steering wheel. Did not help issue.

Probably need to replace the flasher relay. You have to pull the bottom and top shroud from the steering solumn then pull the blinker/light/wipers multi switch. It should be on the back of the turn signal multi switch...

Just bought a used 1990 keep wrangler. The turn signal k arm on the steer wheel is missing. Is the windshield wiper control on the turn signal arm as well? I do not see a place to turn on the wipers

just get one from a junk yard to remove it just push turn and pull the only thing is that if the car has cruise control you got to cut the wire... and to install it your car push in and turn wiper will work signals but no cruise control unless you go trough steering coloum

I have a 1995 Jeep Wrangler and want to change the turn signal lever from "high Low' wipers to "intermittent" wipers. How do I do this?

you will also possibly require a diffrent wiper motor as well as the switch assy. Call Jeep and see if the motor too is different, also the wiring harness(might be a project), and you may need to remove the steering wheel on the jeep to access the switch.....not sure on the 1995

1986 jeep cherokee laredo windshield wipers and turn signals wont work. checked fuses, checked power to fuse block, checked plug on lower steering column. Im getting power to the turn signal/wiper fuse of...

On a 1986 jeep I believe it has a "wiper-turn-signal assembly" that is all part of the turn signal lever. (I think its a GM/Chevy style.) The new models have an assembly that's in the steering column behind the steering wheel. If I'm correct that its all part of the lever, that is almost definitely the problem - 98-99%. Pretty much the same answer for the newer versions also. I have replaced over a couple hundred in my "career". Keep smiling.

Brake lights on my wrangler won't work

Check the fuses under the dash. If they are o.k. Check the bulbs. If they are o.k. then it may be the combination switch. (turn signal switch)

1998 Jeep Wrangler Electrical Short in Steering Column?

I had a similar problem with my 2000 Jeep TJ and I found the problem in the wiring harness under the hood.several wires were corroded and almost burnt off.If you remove the black tape which keeps the harness bundled together and if you see evidence of "green" type powder or "gook" it's most likely where the wires have faulted.
