Nissan sentra 2010: the gauges including the odometer and gas gauge will beep, turn off, then come back on with ooo_ _ _ _.
Hi. This sounds like a body control module issue. At a nissan dealership they should be able to reprogram the bcm. There is often new updates available. I am a nissan tech but not at work right now. If you want, I can check to see if there is any bulletins on this when I get to work in the morning.
sounds like your missing a ground somewhere.
SOURCE: the odometer speedometer gas gauge and heat gauge do not work
There has been issues with the solder joints on the PIN connection to the gauge cluster. The issue being that over time thru vibration and such one of these solder joints will fail (happened on or 1999) you can repair this though. You will have to remove all of the trim from around the driver's side dash board, this will include the trim towards the center of the dash. Once these pieces are remove you'll need to remove the gauge panel (I believe (4) allen head screws) carefully bring the panel and release the wire clip from it. Looking at the back of the panel, where the plug was, carefully with plenty of light look for one of the pins to have a failed solder joint. It will be very faint however the failed joint will be a fine dark line around the pin. To correct use a small soldering iron and reheat this solder until it wants to flow, let it cool and reassemble.

I had the same problem some time ago, lights would go on and off, odometer appeared to stop counting at times rpm gauge would work and then not... power steering would off and on work and head lights would blink on and off when in driving light mode (off position).. The fix for me was I had to have the dash computer replaced (about $500). After doing this around 50k miles ago all the gremlins seem to have remained gone.. Hope this helps
