I think its the key the key light comes on when i try to start it

I think your fuel pump may have quit. To check it... have someone turn the key on until the dash lights come on while you get as close to the fuel tank as possible, Do Not Crank The Engine, Now... when the key is turned on... for about 2 seconds you should hear a whineing sound from your fuel tank. If you do now... your fuel pump has quit.

Just a shot in the dark. If your key has the magnetic chip in it, the chip may be week. Try another key if you have one.
We have a key without a chip in it we hide under the car. It will turn the ignition but will not crank(dealer told us that). One more thing the dealer who made the key told us not to try cranking the car with it because the car could think someone is stealing it and shut down till a dealer input codes to allow the car to run again.

I think you may have a immobilisor problem try the spare key first

Remote start is by bypassing the regular start system of car. The car is not reading the value for the transponder key and thinks the system has malfunctioned. (thus the red key light). He wired the remote start to by pass the cars theft system and start the car with the remotes brain and transponder value. At this point it get complicated as the cars computer was programed for a car without remote start when it was made. It won't hurt the car but some remote starts may need and additional module to trick the computer into thinking there is a key there when remote start is engaged so the red key light won't come on.

No idea here to be honest i think you have two seperate problems here so firstly try entering the radio code as i think you have disconnected the battery ,now as for the non starting then look in the book that came with the vehicle and their should be a code for the key to reprogramme the immobilisor where you turn the key in the lock so many times to the left and right to release it and only these vehicles have this except some rovers which are now defunct as you no doubt know .

Put battery on slow charge overnight

your security system could of locked up thinking that the car was being stolen, try this put your key in the ignition turn on the key till all the lights come on and leave it on for 10 minutes after that turn the key off for 3 seconds and then try to start this should unlock the security system if that is what happened. hope this helps

THE ONLY RESOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM IS TO REPLACE THE KEY CYLINDER WITH A NEW ONE. LOCAL REPAIR GUY IS CORRECT. IF THE TINY SENSOR IN THE KEY SWITCH DOESN'T RECIEVE THE EXACT RESISTANCE FROM THE CHIP IN THE KEY, IT WON'T START. THE TINY SENSOR IS PART OF THE KEY CYLINDER, THAT CANNOT BE BYPASSED. If you have a 2nd key try that. Sometimes the chip within the key acts up. Dont think ''cleaning " the fuse is doing anything.. Possibly removal and reinstallation miight reset
