Engine does not start

First chek temp on Dashboard if half or more ok if not you thermostate open. Next ok chek heater hose in end outlet hose if temp big diferent you have problem. Posible plug or only parsoliplugd heater but older model used valve not air mix dor chek. And other bad bad you have head gasket problem presser build and no water got heater coil only air. If no presser and start engin and hoses get fast hard not hot you have problem . I hope help you.. Mitsubishi 1990 big is you head gk

chek for a collapsed catalytic converter and/or a clogged exhaust system...if it only smokes when 1st started, it could need valve seals...chek for clogged charcoal canister too if equipped...

had the same problem so i took my battery to the auto shop 4 a full recharge 240 min. then put back in car and it started.

is your battery fully charged,do you have spark from plug wires,does it turn over,you chek distributor and coil, chek fuses, chek the starter you have power to starter, you mentioned nothing about it turning over or cranks??? chek these first,, check for gas , can you see or smell gas when you try to start, chek ground wire from battery,check for corrostion on starter wires and any broken wires or frayed wires. start with the battery and then chek evrything else process of elimation ,do one by one.

first thing we need to chek for is spark in ignition system,fuel psi, injector trigger from ecm(noid lite action) and finally if we have all these u need to chek engine compression in the cylinders. very possible u could have a torn timing belt.

If the overall condition of the car is very good, (suspension, brakes, transmission, etc.), I would say yes. I'd try to find a low mile used motor or a Jasper remanufactured engine. Needing a motor at 80,000 miles is kind of rare. I might get another opinion of the overall condition of the motor.

first start with the basics, chek your fluid levels(oil/coolant), make sure they are full, if you have the means to check the fuel pressure then check it, if you havent changed your fuel filter in a while then change it, dont forget to chek your air filter, also do you know for sure that your check engine light is not on, when you stick the key in the igntion and turn the key to the first spot, before you start your engine, your dash lights should all come on and do what called a bulb check, make sure your check engie light is coming on, if it does then i would still connect a reader to your engine and see if there are any fault codes, autozone will do this for free.

it sounds like maybe water got in2 your computer. water is bad. chek all your fuses and relays
