Backfire can be caused by lean fuel condition. No fuel can be fuse, relay, filter or pump. Check for power at pump and if none, trace backwards. If pump runs, check fuel pressure at fuel rail.

Backfire through the exaust and hessitation

Backfire is the result of unburned fuel in the exhaust igniting. I would look at the timing. Could be out enough for this to be the cause. Good starting point in my opinion. Not usually a plug issue.

Trouble starting and backfires

I suggest you have a fuel pressure leak down test run on this truck, the pressure check valve that is part of the fuel pump may be defective, this lets the pressure bleed down and this causes your kind of starting issues. The fuel pump is located inside the fuel tank which must be dropped out to replace the fuel pump module assembly.

I have a 1995 mitsubushi galant turns over but dosent start can you help

could be an old security system interfering with the ignition module, but lets start with the basics. you need three things to make a internal combustion engine run 1. AIR.. you have to have a good supply of fresh air. its just like you , it needs oxygen...2. FUEL.. if your not feeding the combustion chambers you will not have combustion....3. SPARK.. if you dont have spark to ignite your AIR..AND . FUEL. you just wind up with wet spark plugs. check these simple things and let me know.. ill look later to see if you found anything..see if i can help u farther then....just a side note if you have a security system on this vehicle..try this.Lock all the doors make sure no-one is still in the car then unlock the drivers side door with the key. this resets alot of them

Backfires and slow accelration and lurches in fourth gear but no

I'd have fuel pressure tested, and if low, try changing fuel filter , if no improvement in pressure, change fuel pump. Pressure test will at very least confirm you have necessary pressure to supply engine as required.

1995 monte carlo starting and run problems

Sounds like the fuel is draining back towards the fuel tank, which is the reason for extended cranking till fuel reaches injectors. My guess would be the fuel pump in the fuel tank. It contains a REVERSE FLOW VALVE, which SHOULD prevent this. A visible way to check would to place a manual fuel pressure gauge on the fuel rail valve. After shutting the engine off note the degree of pressure drop, if any. Hope this helps
