SOURCE: can i still drive a 95 buick riviera with a bad

if your supercharger sounds like tumbling rocks, it is the plastic coupler between the nose cone and the charger body; take off your serpentine belt; chances are the pulley has some play in it but it turns freely; the replacement coupler is a cheap fix; what gets a lil pricey is the labor to replace it... the buick has an alternator bracket that has to come off before you can take the nose off of the supercharger... dont forget to drain the oil from the nose cone with a spray bottle nozzle

SOURCE: '95 Buick Riviera, SuperCharger. Car won't Start up!

unplug the cam sensor behind the water pump pulley; see if it starts; if it does, shut off engine; replace both cam and crank sensors because crank sensors go out in these engines

Cause of rough idle/1990 buick riviera/3.8 l

I agree with the possible bad fuel theory. You would need to figure out if the miss is a fuel problem or ignition problem to proceed.
I would pull the plugs and look at them, also check for vac leaks.
Is the check engine light on when the engine is running ? If so check for trouble codes.

When the1995 Riviera makes an idling noise when car is turned off

the noise you are hearing is the air pump for your air ride system it will continue to run in an attempt to level car my mom owns a 95 buick riviera and it does the same thing no problem if it cuts off after several minutes if not then you may have leak in system

Rough idle rough acceleration

I just had this problem, check the secondary resistance across the spark plus terminals on each coil. We had 0 resistance on the top coil in the pack, replaced with a good one and all was fine.

My 1995 buick riviera sputters on acceleration and is starting to idle rough. Is it the fuel pump

could be a "weak" fuel pump, plugged fuel filter or bad plugs or wires, process of elimination. have a mechanic test the fuel pump pressure through the fuel rail and see what happens.

1995 buick riveria

Do the interior chimes and headlights turn on when you turn the key in the ignition???? We have a 95 Riv that gave us the same problem. Occassionally we have to put the key in the ignition, turn it on, move the steering column up and down (sometimes roughly) until the chimes etc. come on (some security thing) then the car will start.
