SOURCE: I have accidentally refuelled a diesel Volvo V50 R design with unleaded any idea where the fuel sump is so I can drain

You have to drain the fuel tank and disconnect fuel lines and blow out with compressed air. The fuel pump is in the tank take it out and spray down with WD-40. If you run the car with unlead gas it will damage the motor.

SOURCE: locate cabin air filter in volvo V50

It's under the dashboard. First you must dismount the accelerator pedal (!), remove some dashboard plastic on driver side. The filter is somewhere behind the central console.
I think it should be changed every two years. Look into the manual.
The company where you take the car for oil & filter change every year must change also this filter with no additional charges. Of course they charge you for the filter, which is not very exponsive.

SOURCE: fuel filter location 05' volvo v50

If it's a 2.0D engine the diesel filter is in the front of the engine. It has a small metal protector over it for the case of a crash.
It is a black plastic "bottle" with two pipes on the opposite sides - left and right. It also has a connector - for the fuel heating.

SOURCE: My 2006 Volvo V50 won't start.

Check the passenger foot area. The CEM is located there and many time passengers unplug connections with their feet unknowingly.

There is only thin insulation between the foot area and the CEM.

CEM= Central electronics module.

I have a 60 plate VOLVO V50 which stalled the other day. It restarted but immediately stalled and will not now start.

Check if there's fuel in fuel lines. Tank level sensor can be stuck so you might empty it dry and not even know it...

Where is fuel pump on 2005 Volvo v50 2.0.d

Most likely there isn't one. There's only high-pressure pump under the hood, no standard pump in the tank.
That's why most people have problems with bleeding fuel lines after filter change.
