One day went to start 2000 tdi and it turned sor a second and the nothing. Replaced starter and it turns very slow and seems weak. Barely turns engine over a full revolution. Replaced battery with higher cold cranking amps but still weak. Replaced starter again. It worked for a few days but now it's too weak again. Tried starting while engine was all the way hot but it just turns very slow and weak

Is this a manual or automatic tranny? I would be looking at the gearshift selector, did you try starting it in neutral, as opposed to park, if it's an auto, and how about a switch on the clutch pedal to prevent starting in gear, if it's a manual? How about wiring to the neutral safety start switch? Any fuses, circuit breakers been checked? What year truck?
I'm just throwing things out there, just to check before you spend any more money that you don't have to.
I could use a battery, right now- got an extra one?
:-)
Good luck and keep us posted.

you need to replace the Park Neutral Safety Sensor on the bottom of the Transmission. Should only be a $125.00 part. Your battery and starter are fine. Replace it and iy will be fixed.

If the problem occurs after the car has been driven long enough to reach normal operating temperature, the problem is the starter. If the 'no crank' occurs cold, retest the battery.
SOURCE: Turbo diesel, cranks but does not start when it is cold.
Have the cold start valve replaced, it enriches the fuel mix during cold start and check the glow plugs and see if any are bad, to test remove the wires and put test meter to ohms and one by one test each glow plug with one probe to ground and one on the tip of the glow plug see it it goes close to zero if it does not move then that glow plug is bad, replace all that you find bad.

your starter solenoid is out. may have even blown a fuse under the hood in the fuse box in front of the driver. i believe it is a 30 amp.
