No brake lights Dodge caravan

I have a 2000 dodge caravan. The brake lights don't work at all. The rest of the lights work fine. I replace the brake light switch and they still don't work. I don't see any broken wires and the fuse is good.

2000 dodge caravan tail lights won't go off

It's probably the brake lights that are remaining on, because the brake light switch is damaged or your brake pedal is not returning to the full up position. If your pedal is coming back up all the way, you need to replace the brake light switch. It is located under the dash and you should see it move as you move the brake pedal down and up.
See the link starting at about 4:30 to see how to replace the switch (the first part of the video is about changing bulbs). Replacing brake light switch on 2002 Dodge Caravan

2004 Dodge the longer you drive the tighter and hotter the brakes get.

all dodge caravans from 2002 through 2011 have known problems with sticking calipers. if you google caravan brake problems you will see all the complaints. there are TBI's and recalls on them. I have a 2005 dodge caravan in my garage with all 4 calipers locked up. It is a good idea to replace the brake pads with the best ones and new rotors to

Break lights are not working on a 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan. fuses are good. What could be the problem?

do the signal and hazard lights work? it sounds like a bad brake light switch on the pedal.

2005 Dodge Caravan . Brake lights stay on !

Try pulling back on the brake pedal if lights go off then either switch adjustment or the brake booster is allowing the pedal to drop down if it's running (vacuum) or brake pedal mechanism is binding.

2000 Dodge Grand Caravan Brake Lights Out

Kristie, I don't know if you ever found a solution to this, but I have been having the same problem. I even took it to get repaired and they fixed it saying it was a relay. I think now that they just replaced the brake switch as well. Then, a few months after that, the left light went out. I have checked fuses, replaced bulbs and the brake switch. There is not much more to the system besides the wiring from the front to the back. I then decided to lodge the brake pedal so the brake lights were on, took the assembly out and twisted the light holder as if to take it out, then twisted it back and presto, the brake light came on! So I deduce there is a flaw in the design of the brake light assembly and that the contacts lose their connection the to contact ring of something of this nature. It only seems to affect the rake light, not the turn signals or running lights. Odd.Only time will tell how long this will last.
If you get this, or anyone else see's this, I hope it helps.
