No brake lights

My 04 gmc canyon tails lights and 3 brake up top are not working correctly.the left side has all lights stay on and the blinker is very dim when i tap my brakes the left turn signal turns on. on the right side i have no running lights or brake lights but the blinker works just fine and no lights on for the 3 brake light up top. ive replaced bulbs and fuses but the fuse for the stop keeps blowing. would the brake lamp switch be causing this problem?

No , if your blowing a fuse it is the result of a short to ground on the electrical circuit , wiring ! Do you know how to do automotive electrical trouble shooting ? Using a volt meter ? Do you know what a wiring diagrams is ? How to read one.

No, but that's probably where your problem is. The wires get the hell beat out of them by stones, and then they short out and cause problems. I would take a look at it.

SOURCE: 1997 GMC Sierra p/u. Brake light & blinker out. Taillights ok.

I have notice that this is a common problem. The socket most of the time goes bad, I don't know why but they just do. You can pick them up at any parts store for around 5.00 each. If you don't have a volt meter and ground straps to test it right, then I would try changing the sockets out. Quick and easy. Let us know how it goes.

Tail lights are not working correctly

I have to believe that with all of the "non related" issues happening that there is a wiring harness problem. If you track the harness back from the tail lights you will probably find a nick or a break in the line. If nothing shows then check the connection point which should be somewhere around your fuel tank. It will be a male/female fitting that will pull apart and you can check at that point with a meter if it is working to that point. If not it then you will have to work your way all the way up to find the fault point.

94 gmc pick up pops brake fuse right away changed brake light switch and blinkers and tail lights still work y no 4ways or brake lights??

Check your brake light switch located under the dash on the top of your brake pedal, also it could be a broken tail or brake lite bulb.
