If your indicating the roof is crooked, that's odd... The roof slides along a channel actuated by a coiled cord.

Both of the cords pass along a gear attached to the Sunroof motor which pulles the cord tooth by tooth, impossible to go crooked unless really jammed or tampered with.

There are two plastic wedges that drop into the plastic slides on the sunroof (the plastic slides are behind the more forward metal slides.)

The plastic slides control the tilt of the roof when moved independantly. The plastic wedges join them.

If the roof moves too far back, it is possible for the wedges to stick up and jam the roof open.

This should never happen, but could if the two switches on the gear fail and no longer provide feedback to the controller indicating the roofs position.

Access to the Sunroof motor requires you to drop the headliner.

To drop the headliner, the plastic pillar shrouds need to be removed front and back, the seatbelt bolts in the middle secion need to be removed, the oh-**** handle, the front visors, and cabin lights.

Hope the info is helpful.

How you adjust the window tack, so the window goes up evenly

remove the door trim to get to in side the door. One of the glass tracks will have an adjustment on the lower mount where you can move the track in or out depending what you want. Normally wind the window right down and adjust the track tight against the glass( make sure the glass is in straight). wind the glass up and down a few times to ensure that there are no tight spots Some spray silicon in the tracks helps with the movement of the glass.

Power sunroof wont open on my 2006 hummer. It just makes a popping noise

see technician immediately before more damage is caused to motor, channel, gear and locks, which would be even more difficult to replacw due to scarcity of spares

The back window opens but will not close

pull up on the window when trying to raise it, stop it half way and try to reset it on the track. check by slightly raising up and down.

2006 honda ridgeline sunroof is stuck, will nor close tightly

Most common problem for sunroofs is debris like acorns, twigs, ect stuck in the track on the sunroof. Also, check for bent warped, or other out of place things causing the sunroof to reach it's limit causing it to shut down before closed completely. Remember, power windows, sunroofs, back glasses, nearly everything powered by an electric motor has a limit switch to protect if from damage.

My sunroof has a lot of air noise. It sounds like it's not completely closed, yet it is. I looks to sit a bit high, like it is not getting that last little "**** down" onto the gasket that most sunroofs...

SELL IT... We had a 06' Endeavor Really nice car just never solved the sunroof leak. You can try adjusting it on the track with a # 15 torques head screw driver. Three screws per side side losen all 6 dont take out adjust the retighten. However it wont solve the problem you will do it every month. Also you are going to have a problem with the back seat window or windows if it falls on day a scares the **** out of you its just the window regulator MR565453 part number around $100.00 good luck.

The sunroof in my 99 bonneville is making a loud noise when i open or close it almost sounds like the motor may be going bad or gears are stripped and i know nothing about sunroofs can you help ?!?

The sunroof motor is located under the roof liner above the center of the rear seat. You will need to remove the headliner in order to access the motor and or track. Do you feel you're mechanically inclind to remove all electrical, sunvisors, side roof handles side trim etc. If not than repairing the motor or track maybe beyond your scope of work. If you are let us know and once done you can proceed to the next step.

I have a 97 camaro rs it has power windows and they are both messed up the drivers side motor is good but off track so i can pull up or push it down with one hand easy.the passengers side motor is dead or...

it is much easier to replace the motors then to deal with having them off the tracks and chancing breaking the windows when you go over a bump you can usually find the window motors on ebay for under $20

Sunroof will not close

If you hear motor hum than it's probably a bad rail part. I have the same plastic rail part and both sides broke. Can't find a replacement anywhere.

Sunroof wont close on 1990 celica gti

some cars sunroof regulators come with a couple settings in sunroof
1 the 30 degree back tilt
2 half open stop sun roof
3 full open sunroof
these are common on sunroofs

now lets look at what could be the cause
bad regulator or needed greased gears
track needs to be cleaned which can stick the wheels down
most sunroofed vehicle regulators or gear boxes you will find in the trunk way up by the wheel wells in that little compartment tight to get out
also there should be a manual crank for sunroof placed somewhere in vehicle i know for my bmw it was back in the trunk on the gear box you will have to call dealer or look in manual to find sunroof manual crank and how to close
recommend taken to the closes dealer and have them service your sunroof mechanicals and have it cleaned up
sunroofs like cars needs to be cleaned on a certain milelage interval so that it will work for a long time
