Coolant leak my car is loosing coolant i have to refill it about every week i have looked for any leaks and have not found anything i recently replaced the thermostat and noticed there is no pressure coming from the thermostat to the radiator which leads me to believe that the water pump is the issue if that is the case then i am still not sure why or where the coolant is going does this sound like a proper diagnose

Pull your oil dipstick and look at the level and appearance of what's on the stick.

If the oil level is WAY high, and it looks like chocolate milk, that's where your coolant is going.

It means either the head gasket is blown, or the cylinder head, or the engine block is cracked.

SOURCE: Have a 2005 Pathfinder with

sounds like trans cooler in radiator has breached leaking coolant into trans and trans into coolant.i know for sure that nissan extended the warranty on radiator for this problem.i am not sure the mileage and time limits.but if you fall within those limits they should also warrant the trans as this would be the source of failure(collateral damage).good luck and remember the squeaky wheel gets the grease!1-800-nissan1.ecm relay would not be a contributing factor.

SOURCE: Nissan Sentra 2001 - Overheating but no hot air

It could be just air in the system, or it could be the heater matrix just by your feet, fitted central dash, check to see if the two water pipes that go into the car from the engine compartment are hot if there is only one that is then thats your problem, but if they are both cold the problem is more to do with where the water is coming from, please let me know how you get on

SOURCE: Hi, I have a 2001 nissan

hi. was just looking at your problem of (sentra) overheating and actually, i am a mechanic for nissan and have changed many head gaskets for this particular vehicle equipped with 1.8 liter motor and found that they are notorious for this problem of faulty head gasket's.Unless you did't properly bleed the system, which i doubt because you seem mechanically inclined since you already changed every other part of the system,i would't doubt that this is the problem.Anyway, by the time you read this, you have probably already found this out..Just thought i would let you know this info.Good luck!...by the way,if you haven't already changed you cam and crank sensors,do that too, before you get stuck and get the part's at the dealer!!!!-they are redesigned from the old one's!!just some advise to try to help you out!!! It may be temperature sensor on radiator. Dashboard gets info from it. If this sensor is not good, ac will stop and dashboard willl show some strange temperatures.

Lower radiator hose or core

Before you go replacing a radiator, you need to check out why the quick overheat. Most likely due to low coolant which indicates a leak. Yes the core could be leaking...but it is not the most likely problem. If there is coolant dripping from the lower hose, it could be a simple matter of the lower hose clamp just needing to be tightened. They do work loose occasionally. Check the clamp, and tighten if needed. With the vehicle cold, check and refill the coolant in the both the radiator and the reservoir bottle. Run the vehicle to normal temperature and observe all connection points. IF no leaks are seen, use the vehicle normally and monitor coolant level for a week or so to ensure that you have solved the problem. If you are still loosing coolant, but have no visible signs of loss (drips or puddles under vehicle), then the problem could be a worn out water pump. They often tend to leak only when running and the lost coolant often evaporates on the engine block out of sight.

the VW beetle has a plastic radiator, where the cap is if you look to the front of that it does a 90, it is cracked there. Here is the fun part, with a throx wrench ( I think it was a T-30) take apart the fenders and front bumper. At the auto parts store there is a plastic tank repair kit, the kit includes resign, fiber glass cloth, and a stick. You will need to rough up the crack as it is right where it angles and lay on the cloth and resign. Let it dry and it will not leak from there again. Good Luck Tim

Coolant leaking,I have to keep refilling the reservoir, but I do not see where it is leaking?

if there are no visible leaks ending up on the ground, check the engine oil level and see if it is overfilled or looks like there is coolant on the dipstick, could either be a head or intake gasket leaking coolant into the engine. Also check for white smoke coming from the exhaust which shows that the engine is burning coolant. If the engine has overheated recently there is a good chance that you have a cracked head and coolant is leaking internally in the engine
