SOURCE: Wiring 7 pin trailer plug for 1998 C1500 pickup truck Z71

Here is some information that I find useful when wiring trailer connectors, and the brake controller should be wired into the vehicles wiring according to the instructions that came with the brake controller and that identifies each wire from the brake controller.

Be sure that you solder all connections well for the best operation, and you should use 10 or 12 ga. wire for the Pos. (+) connection, and the ground or Neg. (-) connection, and you should run both wires all the way out to the battery, and about one foot from the battery on the Pos. (+) wire to the battery, make sure that you use a 20 or 30 amp Circuit Breaker and Do Not Use A Fuse.

The rest of these diagrams should help you to get your trailer properly wired up.

How do I change the ignition cylinder on a 97 Chevy c1500 if can't turn key to on/run.

You need to remove the steering wheel , turn signal control and in the steering column you will find a pin that holds the tumblers in place for the key switch. You can remove the pin and then remove the key tumbler and replace it. Go to You Tube and they have videos on just what you need to do to remove the steering wheel and etc. Hope this helps.

1990 chevy gladiator van steering column has came loose. It is floppy, how and what is the best way to correct this.

I will assume you really have a G10-20-30 van.(half/ 3/4 or 1 ton full size van)
The fifth digit of your vin should be a G.
Not the 2wheel drive pickup indicated.
That being said, your Gadiator is an aftermarket conversion van with a loose column.
This would have to be a loose tilt bowl on the steering column.
After removing the steering wheel and lock plate, you will find four inverted torx bolts that hold the tilt bowl to the column. Two will be backed way out and loose.Remove these bolts and appy loc tite to the bolt threads, then reassemble.

1998 Chevy Blazer ignition parts in steering column

It is the passlock seneor. Is the wiring a 2 wire connector with an orange coating? If so then the connection is at the base of the column. You can tape the new wiring to a coat hanger put grease on it and fish it down through the column. You will have to perform a theft learn when you get it back together. Good Luck.

Steering column wires

Hey there,

You've got a few typo's there. Did you mean 1988-1995?
Confirm the year, make and model of your truck.

That being said, pink is IGN.

Hope this helps
