Toyota hilux vvti 2.0 does not rev. I have cleaned up the throttle body and still does not rev.

Did you clean it properly both sides, fully disconnect it? You need to do a Throttle Body Re-learn.

US VVTI models have VVTI on the plastic engine cover..i would assume all models do. You could have a dealer check the VIN. ...

Two things I would check. first I would pull the Idle air control motor off and clean it and make sure it is working properly put lube on it i necessary. Next would be the engine coolant sensor. But I think the first will take care of your problem The IAC motor is mounted on the throttle body.

clean throttle body see if it helps

get a Haynes manual. @$20 at autozone. money well spend as you will get lots of use from it if you work on your vehicle

had same problem,changed air flow meter sensor and problem gone.
