Check the hose that comes from the intake manifold to the pcv valve. Over time they will collapse and leak causing an idle problem. Check with engine running.
Easiest way to find the PCV on a 2000 ZX3 (ZTEC engine)is to stand directly in front of the engine and look at the right side of the oil filler cap. From there, approx 10 inches directly below the the right side of the cap, you will see a black rubber hose/tube (3/4 inches)inserted into a rubber grommet--the PCV valve!! If you were to follow the hose/tube back through the emission components, you would find it connects to the lower rear of the throttle body.
