Rolls over but does not crank

I was driving down the road and my car cut off tried to start it and all it would do is roll over but not crank the fuel pump is working but it seems like the fuel is not getting from the filter to the motor...but a new fuel filter on it and when you try and crank it the fuel sprays from the fuel filter and the car still does not crank just rolls over

Sounds like you may have a blockage in the carburettor or your injectors are blocked.

SOURCE: locate fuel filter, and safety switch to fuel pump

The filter is located at the rear seat, you have to remove it first, then you will see a cap attach with some screws. Inside that cap you`ll find the fuel filter. Before you change the fuel filter you have to release the fuel pressure first. To do that, first find the FUEL PUMP RELAY in the main fuse box located in the engine. Once you located open the fuel door and take off the cap and leave it open. Start the engine, take off the FUEL PUMP RELAY and leave the engine stop itself, when this occurs turn off the key, the you can take off the filter and changed it

The check engine light should always be on until the engine starts.
Can you spray starting fluid into the throttle body and make it start ?
You need to know if the timing belt or chain is ok, and if the injectors are getting fuel.

it has a relay that disables spark and fuel when a sensor on the motor detects combustion gasses in the water, this system only usually cuts in after some driving but you could have a faulty relay, Rolls are good with wire colours so follow the wire colour from the fuel pump to the relays (I had the problem with a customers 1995, rolls were unhelpful so I had to do it the hard way!)

All of sudden blazer wont start. did this a couple of times

Crankshaft position sensor, it reads off revolutions to know what position the crank is in. If it starts going bad, the car can go down the road and suddenly cut off, but once it's bad, it will turn over but not start, also check to see if you're getting gas to the fuel rail.

My truck 99 ford ranger died while driving down the road

fuel filter usually dont cause it to die and not start back, thay usually cause rough running. see if your fuel pump is running by getting in and roll up all windows so as quite as possible then cycle the key from off to run and lisen for the pump to run for 2 to 3 seconds should be a faint buzz sound if no sound is heard then replace the fuel pump relay, if no help probably going to need fuel pump
