The red wire goes to constant hot and the white wire is on the key on/off. The green is a tach signal and the black is ground.

SOURCE: 97 Geo Metro will not start

IF you are able to jump the vehicle using cables connected to another car then it is a power issue, if the vehicle stays running after starter you can most likely rule out the regulator, it sound like the battery is weak and dieing, it can be strong enough to run the radio without having the power to start the ignition.

ecm does control but is also based on input from the Throttle position senser. unplug the TPS and try again. Also make sure the ECM and engine grounds are good

Geo tracker wont start will ignition module help

still bad?
ask for help ,
we have all data on GEOs.

did you check for spark first on all 4 cylinders>?

the ignitor model never fails, 1 in a million
on the 91 ( i have one)
INSERT the diagnostic jumper
crank the engine or 5 second, the flash code will tell you
bad CMP or bad spark if the ignitor is dead, the ECU sees that
and reports that.

the jumper is here. full docs

Suzuki (it really one)
move the jumper every few years, to keep us intertwined.
all jumpers are here.
yours is next to front battery.

I have a 93 Geo Tracker with 200000 miles on it. it stalled out in my driveway. we cahnged the fuel pump and the fuel filter. its getting gas but has no spark. Where do we start

4 possibilities 1 crank sensor, 2 ignition control module, 3 ECM, coil/ coilpack. Check codes first this will point you towards the right direction.
If there are no codes then go to the coil/ coilpack

Trying to find ignition relay module , 93 tracker, will crank but no spark, was suggested ignition relay is bad, just can't find the darn thing. sometimes no power/ just loud clicking noise under dash,

this is a common and serious problem with tracker/sidekick.

there are 3 solutions1:
ecu is bad and over loads the power feed.
fuel pump shorting and overloading feed.
one of the other solenoids , doing this same thing.

send me email link and i can send you a schematic but
its here anywhy.

http://carfix.stufftoread.com/schematics-run.html

and now your answer the main relay is clipped directly to the
bottom of the ECU on a bracket.
one has a green socket (fuel pump relay ) and next to that is MAIN.
come back.
cheers
