Low tire pressure lite won't go out after reseting.

Have held reset button for 5 seconds and the manual says that if after you reset lite, it won't go out to take it to the dealer. There has to be a way to fix it without taking it to them. This is the second time it's happened and last time they fixed it in about a minute. I drive a 2000 Olds, Alero. If anyone out there knows what to do let me know

I had the same problem with this. Disconnect the battery ground cable, this will reset the computer that senses this problem and as long as your tire pressures are within 5 lbs of each other when you do this you should be good to go.

Low tire pressure light wont go out

The Low Tire Pressure Indicator must be reset using the Radio. This can only be performed if you have the factory radio installed in the vehicle. This vehicle does not come with an active tire pressure management system, and as such, this light must be reset manually.
1.) Turn Radio Off 2.) Hold down disp button for 10 seconds 3.) Setup Menu should display 4.) Scroll through menu to view "Tire Pressure" (use seek buttons) 5.) Select the Tire Pressure option (Press Radio Button 1) 6.) Reset should be displayed on screen (Press disp button) 7.) Tire Pressure Light should reset

The words tire reset keep on popping up on my dashboard. What does that mean, and how do I get rid of it? 2004 Ford Freestar.

With and without "Mesage Center" respectively (pretty sure)

With the engine on...

Push "Setup" button, until your driver display says something like "Press Reset for system check".

Then push Reset. The system check will start, rotating through a series of checks.

About the fifth or sixth check will be the tire pressure. The system will sound the tone (same one that starts w/the light) and It'll say something like "Check Tires Pressure" on that moment press and hold for 3 or 4 seconds Reset. When you release the Reset button It'll show "Hold Reset if tires are OK". While that's up, hold the Reset button. After 3 or 4 seconds, the tire warning light will blink 2 or 3 times and then will stop .You need to be ready for it, because you don't get very long to release.

How to reset the low tire pressure warning if the vehicle does not have the "Message Center"

Turn the ignition to the ON position,
depress and Trip/odometer button (located in the instrument cluster) until "TIRE RESET" or "CHECK TIRE AND RESET" is displayed in the odometer display window.
Once "TIRE RESET" or "CHECK TIRE AND RESET" is displayed, press and hold the button for three seconds.
The low tire warning indicator light will flash three times as the low tire warning system begins to initialize.

This information is in the Owners Manual

Hope it helps

Firestone Hmmmmmm. Well the reset button is located just under the dash to the left of the steering column, hold for a few seconds and the light should go out. Hopefuly the firestone tech won't tell you your brakes need greasing the next time you go in for service, haha. Oh, I do beleive your tire pressure should be 29 psi. But, you can check your owners manual for correct pressures. It sould also tell you where the reset button is also. That should FixYa good luck.
