The 2005 grand prix model has a known issue with the plastic cowl molding below the front windshield on the passenger side. over time, the sun will cause the plastic to warp and pull away from the windshield; allowing water to run into the engine compartment, into the blower motor, and possibly into the floor of the passengers seat. underneith the warped cowl is a plastic drain pan that is supposed to deflect any water away from the blower motor. It is likely that this plastic drain pan has shifted or popped loose. this is an easy fix.

open the hood, and pull out the three black plastic retaining pins that hold down the cowl. lift off the passenger side cowl and you'll see the plastic drain pan. ensure the pan is pushed tightly against the back and slid all the way to the left. then put the plastic cowl back on and you're done.

also, water leaking into this area is a common cause for the air conditioner blower motor to stop working. So the sooner you fix this problem, the less likely you'll have problems with your blower in the future.

Do you have a sun roof? I imagine you do.

Under the roof cover there is a tube on each side of the car that drains the sunroof area to the ground. Either a tube has been disconnected or come loose. This will cause severe mold and mildew problems if not fixed soon.

Leaks get worse when engine is at operating temp and pressure builds. Rent a cooling system pressure tester and pressurize the system. Then you'll see the leak

I have a 2005 Grand Prix gt and water is leaking inside my car passager side under the glover compartment is there a danger of co poisoning. It only leaks while a/c is on

If the water is clear its probably from the air conditioner. No danger.
There is a drain tube that exits under the floor that allows the water to drip on the ground. The tube may be plugged up.

My 2005 Grand Prix makes gurgle noise from dash area

Your heater core is leaking its located under the glove box. If you hear it soon you will have a small wet spot. It probably just losing air for now but it sounds like a water bottle gurgling. Better to get it taken in before it goes out completely when you need it.

I have a 2005 grand prix and my floor on the passenger side is soak with water or coolent. Is my heater core bad or can I just blow it out with a air compressor?

most of the time when you have a blown heater core they are incased and there radiator fluid wont access the car if it dose then you can by pass the heater core by attaching a piece of hose between the two hoses that go the fire wall and just drive with no heat dose not damage the vehicle and will not harm anything you just might get cold if you in cold temps other then that you should be fine. now you said its on the driver floor if you smelt it it could just be water but if it smells like radiator fluid them it could have leaked under your whole dash and onto the driver flool i would be carefull and play it on the safe side and find someone to take a look at it

My 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix is overheating and leaking antifreeze, I add coolant every few days then the temp goes up and I have to add coolant again. There doesn't seem to be any smoke coming from the...

You should look under the car after it sits a while and see if there is antifreeze on the ground. If so try to see where it could be leaking under the hood directly over the puddle. You could have a leaking water pump. If so there would be dampness under the right side of engine compartment. Also check the radiator hoses at front of car.

If you see any antifreeze, you are losing it and it will be costly (or fatal) if you don't determine where it is coming from-until you find it, make certain you fill the overflow when the car is COLD to the cold fill line-do it everyday, until you can locate the leak.

My car idles at 3 and the brake is stiff

Sounds like you have a major vacume leak, Chk. line going to break booster. Do you hear a loud hissing or whiseling noise either comming from under the hood or under the dash especily when you apply the break? If under dash could be bad break booster, if under hood still could be booster or a break in the vacume line from engine to booster.
