Check engine light is on...bank 1 sensor1 oxygen sensor

code p2237 refers to heated oxygen sensor(HOS2) 1 bank 1-positivecurrent control-open circuit ---or oxygen sensor(O2S)1 bank 1-open circuit--- or heated oxygen sensor1 bank 1 -no signal=== causes for all three is wiring--HOS2----wiring O2S---wiring--HO2S---ecm. Basically I would be looking for a disconnected wire or broken wire to the sensors.

the code should have said which 02 sensor it was(bank 1 sensor1,bank 2 sensor 1 or sensor 2)if its a 4 cylinder then sensor 1 is the first sensor in the exhaust system going from the front towards the rear.sensor 2 is the sensor that is after the catalytic converter.if its a v6 then bank 1 is the side of the motor cylinder 1 is on and bank 2 is the opposite side of were #1 cylinder is.

How do you know which o2 sensor is bank 1 sensor1

sure do. the bank 1 sensor 1 oxygen sensor is located in the exhaust pipe on the same side as the number 1 cylinder. So if the number 1 cylinder is on the driver's side, then the bank 1 sensor will be the forward most oxygen sensor on the drivers side, then next one in line will be the bank 1 sensor 2. Obviously, the other side will be bank 2, sensor 1 and bank 2 sensor 2.....good luck!

Not passing smog check

bank 1 is pass/side exhaustpipe/converter bank 2 is on the driverside,this car has two converters, so you have 4 oxygen sensors, one before and one after the converter on each side, so bank 1 sensor1 is pass/side before the converter, bank 1 sensor 2 is pass/side after the converter, then bank 2 sensor1 is driverside before the converter, before means starting at motor, then bank 2 sensor 2 is driverside after the converter, heres a diagram to help, i hope this is helpful.

Oxygen sensor need to know where bank2 sensor one is located

Bank 1 is the same side as cylinder #1 and bank 2 is the same side as cylinder #2. Good luck and hope this helps.

the O2 sensor for bank one sensor one is located between the catalytic converter and the engine in the exhaust head pipe. see photo of your engine cylinder layout, the sensor u want to replace is the one at the cylinder #1

P0155?

P0155 OBDII code refers to HO2S heater circuit - bank 2 sensor 1 , not knowing your engine size and engine vin code thats about as far as we can go with our answer . we can say bank 2 sensor 1 is the passenger side upstream oxygen sensor has a heater circuit problem , could possibly be a bad oxygen sensor . you ask what is that - thats what it is ... cheers .

If u have one oxygen sensor then u need to take a deep look at the bottom of ur car it will be somewhere at the Exhaust pipe if u have a catalytic converter then u will have two oxygen sensors one before the catalytic converter & the other will be after the catalytic converter. Note: the catalytic converter is located at after a little bit of beginning in Exhaust pipe.

Hi i have a 03 mini cooper i am keep geting po130 code o2 bank 1 sensor 1 code i check circuits and exhaust leaks no problems some time nocode after resetting for a du but some time after i reset it comes on after 1-2 minutes same code can some one help me out tanx
