How can you fix the codeing plug if it has been spliced into and will no longer give you readout. Tried to run code on 95 4wd chevy s10 blazer and they said the plug to attach code reader to had been spliced into and would no longer give out codes. How can i fix this problem?

Do you have a code scanner? What code does it give? If you don't have a scanner and the car is drivable take it to an autozone and have them hook it up to the scanner to get the code or you can buy a cheap scanner for $50 if the blazer was not running rough before you may have not pushed a plug wire on completely and now the engine is misfiring on that cylinder. how many miles on blazer? the platinum plugs from should be good for 100K miles.
You have a fault in the antilock brake system. You will need a code reader to tell you the precise problem. Any GMC Dealer will have the proper code reader.
Check the spark, it should be blue, if it is yellow than you need to check your ignition system, coil,spark plugs, spark plug wires, dist cap, rotor ect.
Black coming out the exhaust is unburned fuel, when you have the spark plugs out do a compression test.
A puff of smoke when you start up indicates worn valve seals.That's why all your work didn't fix the problem and it doesn't show a code. It's a pain in the --- job that requires some specialized tools so I guess it depends on how bad it bugs you,if oyu want to fix it.
