2003 Chev Silverado, remote entry will not work. Dealer tested fobs (ok) but says the BCM will not communicate with the receiver. Wants $500 for new BCM. However doors all receive lock signal at ~20 mph, which indicates BCM is communicating with door modules. Could it be the receiver, and if so where is it?
Buy a used BCM from a auto salvage yard . $20 buck's , Or buy a reman one .then have the dealer program it . Rather then guessing an replacing part's ( receiver ) They have a factory scan tool , do you ? They can view data inputs to the BCM ,can you ? They can tell if the module is communicating ,can you . They have factory service repair information ,do you ? Just because you don't like their price . These people have reman auto control module's

have you tryed and reprogram it? if you have the fault lies in the the system and you need to replace it because it is a factory error.

Check the locking solenoid / actuator in the door behind the panel, could be burned out or loose wire. It should take about 20-30 minutes to open, fix it and close the door panel if there's no major problem. Autozone might be able to help out with a solenoid.
I has a similar problem and I just took the battery out of my remote. I think there is a problem/ short in the remote. It's as if the button is being pressed when it is not. I will use my spare one in the mean time. It was driving me crazy becuase I was driving long distance at the time and when I removed the battery it stopped. I hope this works for you!

Hello and thank you for using FixYa!
Most likely the remote has failed. If you have another remote for the car, try it. All features should work on the spare remote. You will need to get another remote and program it to correct this. Here is a link on how to program it.
