SOURCE: shifting from park to drive transmission bangs

has the transmission been test for electronic fault codes? do this as a 1st step, this may be a problem with shift solenoids or the Transmission Control Module, or TCM for short.

SOURCE: Pulled into parking spot, did

This is a tranmission linkage problem. The car may be in park but the linkage arm well sometimes slip of or sometimes just run crooked as you switch through the gears. My car has also done the same thing until I recapped the arm with a new lock washer

I have a nissan pulsar 1987 something broke on my clutch pedal and the car won't get in gears drove it home but without using my clutch any idea I hear a pop sound when I press on the clutch before it...

most likely it's a broken clutch cable empty panel is on the floor Thank God it's a 1987 you can always get to roll start our turn the key over until it takes off and synchronize shift just do not get it stuck between two gears good luck with the problem

Grinding in 4x4

Sounds like you broke an axle off. May have broken a spider gear inside the front differential. Hopefully you weren't using this in 4 wheel drive on dry pavement, and making a sharp turn, which could easily snap an axle or break a spider gear or break teeth off of the spider gear inside of the front axle case. Good luck.

Manual transmission shifter will not engage

Sounds to me that the shifter broke, i believe the shifter has a ball end that slips into a pocket in trans. that moves for gear selection and that ball brook off end of shifter. if its got a linkage set up most likely samething either shifting arms came off or shifter broke where linkage rods connect.
