Alarm won`t stop, can`t start 96 jetta trek

I used to shut the alarm off with the key in the passengers door but the lock fell out. the battery went dead and had to jump it, now the alarm can`t be stopped, and it wont start. Does anyone have any suggestions for bypassing the alarm?

Voyager ignition key in the ignition look under the dash there should be a little red button its just small small micro switch that should be the disabler you turn the ignition on with the button in okay now you disconnect the battery to charge it and once fully charge then you can go ahead and play with the alarm circuit but I've found if you take the ignition key put it in the drivers door you unlock the key and you hit the unlock button you lock the key and you hit the lock button then you unlock it but

I went to unlock the driver side door of my 91 acura legend and i guess i set factory alarm off.i do not have original key and my car wont start.. help p[lease!!!!!

The alarm must of activated , the alarm is controlled by the locks, go to passenger door and use the key to lock and then unlock the door, this will shut down alarm, you may have to use the passenger door to shut down alarm due to a bad switch in drivers door, this will allow you to start the car, you can also not lock door and alarm may not arm. let me know if the passenger door lock works, good day.

Just a quick note once you hook the battery back up try locking it and unlocking it from the drivers door, if that fails you might try the passenger door. I know on some chrysler products you have to lock and lock again to arm and unlock to disarm. I hope this helps.
Thanks,

This morning I came out to start my 96 jetta and the battery seemed dead. So I began the process of getting a jump and as soon as we connected the jumper cables to the jetta the alarm started going off. We...

The immobilizer feature was tripped when the alarm went off. It sounds like the battery was indeed dead. My Nissan 300ZX used to trip the alarm when I jump-started it, although my Audi A4 does not. When the alarm is going off, you have to disarm it with the key or key fob first, or you won't be able to start it. Try putting the key in the door, lock it, unlock it, lock it again, and unlock it again, just to make sure you get a couple of arm/disarm cycles, then try starting it.

The car alarm goes off and the car wont turn over

im having the same problem on a 1994 jetta 2.0 liter gas car. if you put the key in passenger door and hold the key in lock position for 30 seconds with all doors and trunk lid and hood shut it will reset the alarm system. sometimes open trunk after doing this and shuting it again will reset the system. I did this and the car started and shut it off and wouldnt start agian until i went through the process again. weird and frustrating. still working on the problem.
