SOURCE: No spark, 1988 Toyota Camry 3SFE 4cyl, 5 speed.

there is no crank sensor on this vehicles 2.0L. If you have power to the coil, new coil, cap and rotor try this if not done yet>>>Unplug coil power first....Try pulling off the distributor cap, and make sure the rotor is spinning with the cam...If this fails to spin, inspect the entire distributor assembly. If it passes, Inspect all the power circuit and wiring to the dist assembly, if ok possible ecu. i recommend having a mechanic check it out!! Hopefully this helps...please rate...thanks

To have so many different codes at the same time indicates that the first place to start looking is the wiring harness itself. Locate the MAP (manifold air pressure sensor - code 31) and IAT (inlet air temperature sensor - code 24) connections. Disconnect and reconnect each sensor a few times and check that the connecting socket and pins are clean and free of corrosion - the codes indicate intermittent breaks. Check all fuses are clean and well mounted. Examine wiring harness for chafing, abrasion and signs of wear. Any intervening connections between the wiring harness and electronic control unit (ECU) need to be checked over and should be free of oily grime.

I have a 97 Dodge Dakota that I replace the fuel

OBD Tools 365 Days Shop for car repair.

Find out if the engine is getting gas to it. Sometimes a plugged fuel filter or a problem with the fuel injectors can prevent the engine from getting any gasoline. To check this remove the air cleaner and smell inside the throttle body or air cleaner housing. If the engine is getting enough gas you should be able to sense a strong gasoline smell due to the amount of uncombusted fuel left inside the intake manifold.
Determine whether the spark plugs are firing. If there is plenty of gas but no spark, the engine will crank but not start. Unplug one of the spark plug wires and plug in a spark tester. Have a friend get in the car and crank the engine while you watch to see if the spark tester illuminates. You can usually purchase a spark tester at an auto parts store for about ten dollars.

05 Altima cranks but wont start, new cam and crank sensor, new battery, fuel line is ok???

If the car sat, would bet all the money in my pockets that it's bad gas. Adding fresh gas won't solve the problem. You need to add a fuel stabilizer ( purchased for under $10 at Autozone) that you just add directly to the tank.
It could also be the case that the coil wires are dry and cracked from sitting, cause sparks to ground out.

Whenever your car won't start it is always one of three things-- fuel, spark or air. I hear you saying fuel is coming in, but to be sure you could try spraying a quick spray of carb cleaner or better yet starter fluid into the air intake and see if it briefly starts. If it does, then shuts down immediately, it's a fuel issue.

If not, then it is likely spark (air is usually not restricted but you may as well check the air filter and throttle body and make sure they aren't clogged. )

Check the spark in each cylinder. The problem could be a bad coil or fouled plugs.

If fuel, air and spark all check out, then the problem could be timing but this is highly unlikely.

What can cause a 1995 corcica to go dead and smell of gas

Check for leaking fuel lines or a puddle of gas under the car. If the exhaust smells like gas then the gas isn't burning completely and may be a number of things like spark plugs, plug wires, clogged air intake, fuel injector that stuck open...

My 94 Toyota Camry 4 cyl is running really rough and stalling out once the engine warms up

Get rid of cold air intake and re install stock also sounds like your mass air flow unit is going out or your cars ecm isnt operating properly check air filter make sure its not clogged up then check all your vacuum hoses for cracks, dry rot or kinks making sure none are pinched causing vacuum to not respond.ok after this check the fumes from exhaust for color but it could also be catalytic converter even though it says air temp.when this problem occurs it can be number of things spray electric cleaner on wires as well and check for loose wires now take your time going over these things to be sure you accurately inspect this

1. Error Code 24. Intake Air Temperature Sensor.
Solution:
Check the following:
- IAT Connector and wiring.
- Intake Air Temperature Sensor.
- Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor.
- ECM.
2. Rough Idling when the engine is hot.
The following are the reasons due to which the engine can perform bad when it is hot.
- Fuel pump control circuit.
- Fuel pump pressure.
- Fuel injectors.
- Non Return Valve clogged, located on the lower side of car chassis above the fuel tank.
- Engine compression, valve clearance, spark plugs.

My 2001 Toyota Avalon is losing gas mileage, what could be causing this?

I would start with a tune up: Spark plugs and wires, Air filter, Fuel filter, Oxygen sensor. Also maybe try using a concentrated fuel injector cleaner through your fuel system and start using this product regularly following the directions on the product label. Good luck!

Need to find Mass Air Flow sensor on 98 Camry

You are not stupd! :-) This car has a speed-density system. The computer is programmed to meter fuel and spark timing from manifold absolute pressure (MAP), engine temperature, air temperature, and throttle position only.
