94 jeep wrangler. Replaced fuel pump relay, fuel pump, cap, rotor

When I replaced the fuel pump it didn't have any effect on car. Still didn't start. It turns over just doesn't start. When I replaced the Cap the engine fired up. Went to take it on a test drive and made it about one block before it bogged down and died. Repeated two more times.

1994 Jeep Wrangler, 4 cylinder, when I grounded the ASD and Fuel Relay I could get it to start and run, suspecting PCM isn't providing proper ground signal to relays etc... but now even when I ground...

Check to make sure the check engine light is coming on, on the dash, when you turn the ignition switch on. If it is not coming on, try leaving the ignition on for a few minutes to see if that light does come on and the jeep starts then. If so, then your ecu computer is in need of repair.

could be the fuel pump relay, do you hear the pump prime when you turn on the key? if not then replace the fuel pump relay.

1995 Jeep Wrangler 2.5L Fuel Pump/Check engine light

Could be one of several items...I'd check the fuel pump relay, auto shutdown relay and the ignition switch itself. I'd bet on it being one of those relays but, we all have been fooled at least once!!! I'd also make sure that body and engine grounding is good and clean. Relays can't work properly without a good ground.
