Window motors sounds

I can hear the window motors making loud noises when the car is NOT running and and all doors locked. i thought it might be the batteries in the remotes. i replaced batteries in both remotes but that didn't help. the motors still make whirling noises

It sounds like the power locks are making the noise to me. First the power going to the window gets shut off when you shut off the key. Second the window will not make noise unless the cable for the window regulator is broke, then the window will go down and stay down or up and wont go much of anywhere. Try to hold the power lock button and listen for the same noise. Most of the time the one of the switches go bad and keep trying to lock the car. Its usually the one that wont lock or unlock.

SOURCE: 2000 town and country van back door will not unlock

sounds like the lock is seized, you will have to remove the panel,it's held on with screws and snap plugs, remove all the screws and then gently pull the panel off. you will be able to open the hatch by sliding the lever sideways. the latch and mechanical lock are the same unit. it has a electrical actuator. your dealer or regular tech sould be of great help in this very simple matter.

SOURCE: Whirling sound coming from the engine

same problem on mine. i had a tune up done to the engine and they pinched the PVC hose from the air cleaner to the intake manifold. It was taken off and pinched backwards. Check the PVC valve and hose to make sure there are no restrictions

SOURCE: My front passenger side door

It's called a door lock actuator, and ours was on the driver side, buzzing each time the doors locked. Very annoying. We ordered it online, it was part #4717961AB from a Mopar company. Wasn't very easy to replace ourselves, but do-able if you have at least an hour and two people working on it. Cost us $60 plus shipping._418.jpg

My loctronics is making a beeping click noise

It sounds like you may be hearing a noise coming from your vehicle's locking system, which is likely the Locktronics box. It is possible that the noise you are hearing is a normal function of the Locktronics system, especially if it sounds like a beeping or clicking noise.
Locktronics systems use a series of solenoids and relays to lock and unlock the doors, and this process can sometimes create a clicking or beeping noise. This noise can be more pronounced in certain vehicle models or aftermarket installations.
However, it is also possible that the noise you are hearing is caused by an issue with the Locktronics system, such as a malfunctioning relay or solenoid. If the noise is accompanied by other symptoms, such as difficulty locking or unlocking the doors, or if the noise is very loud and persistent, it may be best to have the system checked by a professional.
If the noise is coming from under the dash, it could be the actuator motor, which is responsible for the lock and unlock function, making noise. It's best to diagnose the problem by a professional or contact the manufacturer for assistance.

My window doesn't roll down in my 2000 Ford f150 I hear noises coming from door and under instrumentcluster

Sounds like a relay may be stuck or bad, that would be the noise underneath. The noise in the door could be the Motor being weak and causing the relay to click or motor to make a humming noise.

Window made a "pop" sound then dropped into door.

Best go to a Glass Repair shop. Sounds like window guides or a part called a "regulator" was damaged by probing inside the door. A broken glass window will be more expensive than paying an experienced installer to fix the bad parts.

My 2004 montecarlo gets a loud vibration noise that sounds like comming from dash but cannot hear noise from outside but is so loud that i cant hear the radio with the windows up and does it only driv

This may sound radical, but while driving on an open road with no traffic, put the car in neutral and turn the motor off. If the sound goes away, the problem is in the motor or trans. If the problem persists, its probably a wheel bearing or something stuck in your wheel. Car will restart in neutral, and just drop it back into drive.

That sound is going to be your door lock motors wearing out. I would suggest getting them replaced pretty quickly as they will soon stop locking altogether. It's not cheap, but it isn't horribly expensive either.

Power door lock, driver side only, does not work in my '95 Sable

if you here a noise that should mean the little motor (door lock actuator) thar works the door lock is getting power to it and it should be ok. sounds like when you changed the inside latch you must have disturbrd/disconnected the linkage or the clip that connects the lock actuator to the latch assembly(the female V-SHAPED mechanism that engages the POST/STRIKER (male part) its a little hard to name these parts so i am describing them to you. look insidethe door and see if you see any threaded RODS OR LINKAGES that are not connected at both ends.the noise youre hearing is most likely the door lock actuator "spinning"up and down but its unable to lock or unlock the door latch mechanism.

94 Grand Am Power Lock - front drivers side door (Trying again)

First, I'd recommend buying (or borrowing from the library) a Chilton or Haynes Manual to help finding the parts and how to access them. They'll save you a lot of time and headaches.

Then I'd try replacing the door lock motor. The motor itself should be just behind the inside door panel. Many times these motors, after years of wear and tear, break the teeth off the internal gears, causing a loud grinding/whirring noise but not allowing the doors to fully lock or even lock at all.

You can either buy a new motor from an auto parts store, but I've found that by checking with the local junk yard turns up some really good deals. Try to find a car that is the same make and model but maybe a newer year, bring the old motor with you, and make sure they look exactly the same down to the mounting holes.

I hope I could help you fix this issue. Good luck and don't forget to rate! Thank you!
