My 2003 crysler sebring stalled and want start back I geting the camshift sensor code I replaced it and car still wont start and still geting the code Would the timeing belt casue this

    yes it sounds deff and when I had the cam sensor out and the tone wheel was not turning it is a 2.4 dohc

    I have the 2.4 D O H C and yes it sounds deff and that tone wheel don't turn so will replacing the timeing belt fix it are did it damage the engine

Yes a timing belt could cause this. Ususally if the timing belt breaks/slips the engine will have a different sound while cranking it over to try to start it. Does it sound different? Also, if possable remove the cam position senser and look at the tone wheel that the senser reads and have someone crank the engine to see if the tone wheel turns, if not the timing belt is most likely the problem. I have seen a few tone wheels have problems but it is not common. What engine do you have?

    If the timing belt has failed it may have or may not have damaged the valves. There are methods to check for valve damage (special tools needed) or just replace the timing belt and see if it runs. (still special tools needed).

i've done a few that had no light/codes.the most common problems are crank or cam sensor failures. really need to check when car stalls.

2005 crysler sebring 4 cyl no start p 0340 code changed camshaft position sensor still no start. key engaged engin turn over, fuel present, no start, occasionally get a small backfire. HELP!!!

Try substatutting the ignition module with a known goog one.Also have the camshaft CIRCUIT checked at the camshsft sensor plug in, for propper voltage.The code P0340 indicates a circuit malfunction not a sensor malfunction. Good luck.

Possible causes - 1/1 And 2/1 O2 sensors harness circuit shorted
- 1/1 And 2/1 O2 sensors harness circuit connectors (wrong connection)
- Faulty Powertrain Control Module (PCM) P0040 CHRYSLER Description At ignition on the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) checks the voltage on the ground side of the O2 sensor harness connector. If voltage is higher than two volts the P0040 code will set. code 41- Possible causes - 1/2 And 2/2 O2 sensors harness circuit shorted
- 1/2 And 2/2 O2 sensors harness circuit connectors (wrong connection)
- Faulty Powertrain Control Module (PCM) P0041 CHRYSLER Description At ignition on the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) checks the voltage on the ground side of the O2 sensor harness connector. If voltage is higher than two volts the P0041 code will set.

Crank Sensor is the likely issue. It does not throw a code. Key indicator is the call stalls all the time. R&R sensor.
