SOURCE: 2005 Impala Leaking Coolant and no heat

Hi lfortunato,

Try the radiator cap, if that doesn't work check your interior heater controls.... as you've already pressure tested, it sounds unlikely to be the pump..... If it was defective it would have leaked with that pressure. The thermostat may also cause the problem, if it's stuck open....

SOURCE: 93 Chevy Blazer S-10 4.3L F.I.

if this is the vortec engine you may want to check to confirm that the injector pot is working. The injector pot is located under the air intake manifold (top half only) & PLEASE BE SURE TO DISCONECT BATTERY FIRST. if you unbolt the top half of the intake manifold you will find the main injector pot otherwise known as the SPIDER. This part does have a history of failing and can be very costly to replace if you purchase it new. most junk yards should be able to find one for you.

SOURCE: 2001 Silverado: I'm leaking transmission fluid but it seems to be ...

there is a transmission fluid cooler built into the radiator of your truck, which means there are steel lines that run from the side of your transmission up to the radiator, on the passenger side of the truck. the lines are a common leak point due to corrosion. depending on where the leak is, the lines can sometimes be patched, but they sometimes need to be replaced (or fabricated). good luck!

SOURCE: my chevy impala smells like the radiator liquid is

Check the front passenger side carpet and make sure it is dry. If it is wet, the heater core up under the dash is leaking, which is why you smell it in the cab.

No start on a 2003 VW Passat 2.8 6cyl . Drove fine to store.. I tried to crank made a funky click sound but cranked on 2nd try..Got home turned it off & it wont crank..Makes single click

Sounds like your battery is very low on charge, or you have a bad connection between the battery and starter or ground. Check that the battery cables are clean and tight on the battery, and that they are securely connected at the starter (positive) and frame/engine (negative). If everything looks good there, charge your battery, then bring your car to AutoZone/Advance Auto/O'Reilly's, etc and have them check your battery and alternator.

Why won't my engine crank?

Does the battery have 12+ volts? Can you check the starter wire for system voltage while someone tries to crank? (With no help, extend wires so you can see your multimeter from the drivers seat) If those things check out fine, it's time to suspect the starter. If the battery is dead, it's "possible" the alternator has gone out. If you get it charged up good and started. You can watch battery voltage for a bit and make sure it's showing higher than it was when you got it to start. This indicates the alternator is charging. I would start there and see what your results are.

Wont start unless jump started battery and altenator are good

either the cranking amps on the battery are low or the regulator is intermittent, meaning it is charging then once it warms up it stops charging. I would replace the alternator. Hope this helps Tim

My 2004 JeepLiberty will not start. Having trouble determining wether it is my battery or alternator? Suffering from CNS.

The alternator can be checked once you have the vehicle running. If you have a battery charger, charge the battery first. If not find a known good battery to jump start the Jeep. If it starts most likely bad battery, espically if it is the original one on 2004. Drive to your local auto parts store, they have a meter to check your battery and alternator. Make sure they check the batteries cranking amps, and most good alternators with engine running will put out approximately 14 volts. God Bless

Starter???

more than likely it is if you have a fully charged battery in the car, you can have it checked on the car or take it off and bring it to the parts store and they can check it on a machine
