SOURCE: My daughter drives a 2001 focus with motor

Describe the vibration better. Is it a manual or automatic. It is when starting off, or at higher speed. Does it happen when slowing down or turns. Normally you can tell when motor mounts are bad because of the deteriorated rubber bulging out, oil soaked, cracked or ripped, etc. Or pry on the engine with a long 2x4.

Does this car have an interference motor?

ford escort/ focus engine 2.0 l spi sohc 1997-2004 has been identified as an intereference engine and that means very likely valve to piston damage
( auto data timing belt information )
note-- up to 2002 year Ford has not recommended a timing belt interval for changing
Ford has however recommended a replacement every 120.000 miles using the service history as a guide
however good professional trade practice recommends every 60.000 miles ( 100.00klms) and the replacement work should include replacement of the crank and cam shaft seals and idler pulleys involved ( the biggest destroyer of belts is oil)
recommended labor time is 2 hours
if the belt has broken then head removal and valve work will add up to 5 hours to that time

2007 ford edge engine missing they say coil pack and cost could be $1700.00. Is this possible?

it depends on how many coils are bad. pep boys auto parts lists them @ $301.99 each, for your vehicle, there will be a bit of a markup on the cost of the part, that is normal.
then there is the labor, job should take between 1/2 to 1 1/2 hours x labor per hour.
when I had mine replaced only the ones that needed to be replaced were done.
I took this from another site:
An ignition coil is a compact electrical transformer that boosts the 12-volt current from the battery into the high voltage (15,000-20,000 volts or more) needed to start a car. Typically there is one ignition coil for each spark plug, either sitting on top of each spark plug (eliminating the need for spark plug wires) or physically connected together as a coil pack that is installed and replaced as a single unit. Symptoms of a bad coil pack include misfires, poor fuel consumption or loss of power -- although these can be caused by other factors. Typical costs:
  • An ignition coil typically costs $70-$375 or more depending on the make and model of vehicle, if it is a single coil or a coil pack, and whether the part is made by the vehicle manufacturer (called OEM parts, and typically more expensive) or an aftermarket product from a company other than the vehicle manufacturer.
  • For example, AutoZone[1] offers an aftermarket ignition coil for a 2008 Ford Focus for $103;[2] offers ignition coils for the same vehicle for $72-$159. Replacing an ignition coil can be a relatively straightforward do-it-yourself project. AutoMD provides how-to instructions[3] , and estimates it as a moderately complex project that takes about an hour.
  • Professional installation typically takes 0.5-1.5 hours, depending on the vehicle, at $50-$120 an hour (depending on whether the work is done at an independent or chain repair shop, or at a dealership, which is typically more expensive). This brings total costs to $100-$550 or more.
  • For example,[4] estimates replacing a single ignition coil on a 2008 Ford Focus costs about $37-$49 for labor and $123-$144 for parts, making a total cost of about $160-$193; for a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 truck the estimate is about $102-$135 for labor and $74-$120 parts, or $176-$255 total; for a 2008 Toyota Camry it's $74-$98 labor and $102-$210 parts, with a total of $176-$308.

Ford focus electric window not working

usually the window motor has expired or shorted out - clicking means you are getting power to the switch, just nothing happens - this is not a job for amateurs - the entire door inner shell, speaker and lock has to be removed - the regulator/motor assembly is usually $70-$100 and about 1 hour labor for a window glass installer - PAY the installer and save yourself 3 hours of headache

2000 plymouth breeze motor mounts need replacing... how much money should i expect to pay

Right mount cost about $97.00 for the part, with 0.8 hours labor. If $60.00 an hour = about $48.00.
Left mount cost about $124.00 for the part, with 0.7 hours labor. If $60.00 an hour = about $42.00.

Right mount will be about $145.00 + Tax

Left mount will be about $166.00 + Tax

Maybe you can find a shop with lower labor rates, too save some money ???
