Steering pump making noise after changing hose, and fluid is foamy
Make sure there are no leaks in the return hose. If there are leaks in the return line it could be pulling in air and causing the foaming and noise. If there are no leaks you fill the reservoir with power steering fluid and crank the car then turn the steering wheel all the way to the right then all the way to the left a couple of times and that should get rid of all the air in the lines.

pump/or belt is bad, sometimes belt are worn or get wet and like driving a truck
SOURCE: 2002 kia optima,,, whining noise that stops when turning left
power steering pump probably went out.. if you can easily get at the belt and are any kind of mechanically inclined, remove the drive belt to the p/s pump and then start the car if the noise is gone then its probably part of the power steering pump
