Driving 2007 Honda Odyssey & all of a sudden it cuts off, lights flashing on dash and then it dies. Charged it from friend's car & went to Auto zone they checked my battery and said that's not the problem. I see a response to a similar posting & he was told to remove fuses. Any knowledge about this being a common problem?

SOURCE: car brake lights won t turn off when car is shut down 1996 Honda Odyssey

It should be your brake light switch. There is a little plate welded to the arm of the pedal that has a hole with a rubber stopper. The rubber stopper is most likely missing, or damaged. You should be able to take a flashlight and see the plate and the switch. If the hole is plugged up, you will need the brake light switch, if not, replace the plug.

SOURCE: Engine won't start. Dash lights flash rapidly when key turned.

the battery says 12 volts but may be dropping to 4 or 5 under a load...i would suggest jumpstarting the car and see what happens.the battery should read in the high 12 volts and not less than 9.5 under cranking. the dash lights go out on your car when starting, and the alarm will go off ,and disable the ignition if the voltage is too low in cranking the car because the computer will shut it down and activate the anti theft.....check your battery posts are tight. best of luck

My 2002 Honda odyssey went cold, used my friend cable n started the car. I observed the TCS and Engine lights came on.

after the battery go below 6.0V the computer lose the main memory settings and keep the malfunction for battery low. Just go to any auto parts store and let scan for free and reset the code.Make sure to replace the battery if yours is 4 years old and die on low temperature.

2007 tail light fuse location honda crv

I had this problem with my 2007 Honda CRV -- all the lights worked EXCEPT the tail/running lights and the license plate light. The other tail lights worked -- brake, reverse, indicators, and hazards. Front headlights also worked, but when the headlights went on the back tail lights did not (not to safe for driving at night!!)
The fuse was #15 in the interior fuse box (under the dash driver side) with the label "small exterior lights" ( also check fuse #19 labeled "small lights main"). The cause of my problem, I believe, is a bad or lose wire in my license plate light.

All gauges went dead while driving, lights progressively dimmed and finally engine quit.

Your alternator died. You drove until your battery died also. You need a new alternator and a new battery. You might be able to get away with just charging your battery. Do Not jump start the vehicle and let the new alternator try to charge the old battery! Take the battery to a service station for testing and a charge. Install the new alternator and then install the charged battery not vice versa and you'll be fine.

When driving it my odyssey (1998)all lights on the dash (door lights etc) flash on then the motor dies. It can take a few minutes before you can start it again, this is starting to happen more frequently...

Try to check the battery or check the alternator because if your alternator is grounded there is a possibility these cause the problem or try to check the fuse also.

2002 Honda Odyssey security alarm system

Make sure your hood is shut. I just got my 2002 Honda Odyssey back from the dealer today (90,000 mile check-up - I love my van and will drive it until it dies!) and when I went to lock the van with my remote transmitter, the lights didn't flash and the horn didn't sound. I open and closed all the doors and tailgate and I could hear that the doors were locked, but the security system wasn't working and that is why the lights didn't blink or the horn didn't sound. I walked up to the front of the van to check the hood to make sure it was closed (there isn't an indicator light for an open hood, only open doors) and the hood wasn't shut completely. Once I opened the hood and let it drop to securely shut, I hit the door lock button on the remote and everything worked like a charm! Hope this helps others in this predicament.

2007 honda odyssey warning light

That isn't the light for low tire pressure. Low tire pressure will have what looks like a tire- flat. It is your VSA someone probably hit the button and accidentally. look to the left of your steering wheel there is a button that says VSA push it and see if it turns it off. I notice that this post is pretty old, so you may already have gotten the answer from your dealer, but I'm posting in case someone has the same problem later on.
