Hi, I have an 06 Suzuki G/Vitara, Diesel 1.9. Recently I've had the Injection Warning Light come up twice in 2 days which resulted in the engine being ******** and would not accelerate. I left the vehicle to stand with engine switched off for a while and when I started it up again the warning light had gone. For safety I took it to a local garage and they put the analyser on it. They said that there was no error log for this, it seemed as though the system had cleared it down. Any suggestions on how to correct this problem. Thks Steve

You will need to have this light reset with a scan tool, it is stored in a non-volatile (stays in memory with or without battery voltage) memory. Have the dealer check the cause, better than a tow bill.

check your timing chain and see if your engine has a tensioner as that may have failed. chain may be just a lil loose

Take the car to an autoparts store and have them scan the computer for any fault codes stored. The check engine light is to alert you that the computer has noted a fault in one of the car's systems. Getting the codes will show what the computer has noted and curb the need for speculation. Most parts stores will perform the scan for free. Hope this helped and best wishes.

your power relay supplying the glow plugs may be stuck(welded contacts)on and need replace
Testimonial: "Many thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately relay seems fine. I think it may be an engine management problem."
