youre leaking steering box is most likely an easy fix, the leak can be rectified by changing the lower shaft seal but this means removal of the pitman arm. you can remove the seal and get it matched up at any industrial supplier

Loosen nut on top of steering gear box. Tighten adjustment bolt 1/4 turn at a time then tighten nut. Drive and see if it hold together better. Repeat until you can't tighten adjustment bolt any more. If it's still iffy, replace your steering gear box.

If the steering gear box has play in it (make sure to check it with the engine running so it has power assist) then it is time to get a new one.Have someone wiggle the wheel back and forth while looking at the steering linkage (tie rods, pitman arm etc..) If there isn't any play/looseness in the linkage and the ball joints are good you need to get the alignment checked. You may have too much negative caster as that will cause steering wander.
