2001 Chevy Cavalier Misfire

Hello, I am experiencing a misfire on my '01 chevy cavalier. At first, the CE light would come on, I would read the code P308 (cylinder misfire), and clear the code, car would run fine. Now, when I'm driving the car, the car is obviously missing a cylinder (rough idle, weak acceleration) and the CE light starts flashing on acceleration. I've already replaced the spark plugs. Any idea where to go next? Thanks!

    try checking the injectors the code should tell you which cyl to check

Most radios and cd players in cars require a code to get them operating again after they have been disconnected from the battery for an extended time. Hopefully a dealer could help you locate the code for that model.

You may want to check for fuel volume and fuel quality. There may be moisture in the fuel. It would also help to know which cylinders it is misfiring on. Scan tool will show the misfire on live data.

RECHECK#2 SPARKPLUG, PULL IT OUT AND INSPECT THE GAP TO MAKE SURE IT'S NOT BENT SHUT, IF PLUG IS OK MAKE SURE WIRE BOOT IS ON SECURELY, IF THATS OK THEN SUSPECT A FAULT COIL.
