I tried to start my car and it will turn over but won't start. All together, I tried about 5 times to start it (waiting about 30 seconds between attempts). My best guess is that it isn't getting any gas. I just filled my tank a couple of days ago. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks, Lewis from Denver Colorado Can anyone tell me wher the coldstart valve is situated on a Hyundai Getz 1.6? I have an '02 Accent that randomly wont. The car sounds like it wants to start, it does crank but it will not actually start. It happens in both wet and dry weather and at all different times, whether the cars been sitting overnight or for a half hour. I've had a full tune-up done - changing spark plugs, wires, had the system flushed, etc. No one can find anything wrong...and there's nothing they can do unless the problem happens when its with them.
For the Accent pls try to check the fuel pressure on the fuel line from fuel pump outlet to injecter rail. The way of doing the test-1.connect the pressure gauge to fuel line.2.Crank the engine till start and while run the engine check the fuel pressure.must be around 3.5bars.Allow the engine run about 3minutes and switch off the ignition.4.After one hour check the fuel pressure on the gauge. If the fuel pressur is too low, that will indicate the problem with fuel pressure regulater.I can not give the accuraye pressure readings for the fuell pressure variation cause i dont have follow the Accent service manuel.I am related to Peugeot vehicles. If u have any feed back,my e mail [email protected]
I dont really have a solution but i have a 2002 Hyundai accent gs that wont start when it gets cold if its below 50 degrees out the car will crank but not start we have replaced everything the alternator, starter, battery, both coil pack, transmission, crank censor, oxygen censor, fuel pump relay, computer, and 100 amp alternator relay none of these things has fixed the car does any one know what else it could be
I HAVE A HYUNDAI XG350 AND MY MAIN MECHANIC HAD ME REPLACE ALL KINDS OF STUFF AND IT STILL RAN THE SAME. IT'S A 2002. WELL, HE HAD NO IDEA WHAT IT COULD BE. I BROUGHT TO A SMARTER MECHANIC WHO HAD SENSE TO DO RESEARCH AND FOUND THAT THEY USE A PLASTIC GEAR WHICH HAS MELTED. THEY DO NOT RECALL IT BECAUSE IT IS NOT A SAFETY ISSUE. BUT THIS IS WHAT WAS CAUSING MY PROBLEMS AND I HAD THE SAME ISSUES THAT YOU WERE HAVING. I ALSO WOULD TURN OF MY AC SO THAT THE CAR COULD STAY RUNNING. BUT IT WOULD DIE OUT WHEN I STOPPED AT A LIGHT AND SOMETIMES IT WOULD NOT START AT ALL. I WAS HAVING MAJOR IDDLEING ISSUES. IT IS SOMETHING TO CHECK INTO.

hi from uk if you suspect fuel failure? have you checked the auto shut off solenoid it is /should be positioned under bonnet on the offside(uk ) attached to the bulkhead with bracket? this shut off has a red rubber cap on top ? try reset by pressing top down? also check wie/plug is secure to it ? assume you have ignition to s/plugs ? have you checked if fuel pump adjacent to tank is activating click! when ign is turned on? finally? this i hope is not the fault?? but have you noticed if engine seems to turn over more rapid since failure ? if so check and ensure the cambelt has not failed ? on initial start from cold ? especially if high milage and no record of being renewed? please update on your discovery upon check suggested ? best wishes!
