You cut into the worng wire i am sure, here are the wire functins for this car year, please redo the wiring and check all fuses under the dash and under the hood.

Look at the back speakers and you will see the colours on the connnections.(I am not familiar with American car wiring as i am in uk)

not all sables had a harness for cd changer . if it had one it would be taped to harness above fuel shut off.
