Elitric/engine problem Igot a 96 sw2 that hasnt run right sence I bought it the lastest is after spending $2800 at saturn capital drovecar home and it started a high pitch wine like it was caught betwen gears put in netural at 65mph wine went away put back in drive sound came back engine lite on reving high pulled over turned off (have had to do this before) started everything fine this is a reacuring event all sencers have beenchanged out car seems to have a mind of its own

did you adjust the plugs to the right spark plug gap should be 8mm, did you put the leads back on the right spark plugs. ? firing order 1342 number one is at front. from left on dispack 4123 this is from left to right. other engine 135 246 number one top left. dispack 146 325 number one is first from left. check this is right aswell.
No, you need a 96 through 98 engine, make sure the one you get is the same as yours, that is if you have an SL1 your donor car must be an SL1, SW1 or SC1 and if you have an SL2 then your donor car must be an SL2, an SW2, or an SC2. You can buy rebuilt engines for about 2000 with core exchange might make more sense if you intend to keep it a while and if a manual then do the clutch while it is out.
Try pulling the engine coolant temp sensor, They often crack not sure
why but the ceramic tip cracks makes the car hard to start, the car's
idle may race while shifting gears, and often smokes. The sensor is on
the right side of the engine when looking at it on the head. Easy to
